Steve Augustin: Visual Artist: Digital Photographer/Artist/Lighting Designer/Theatre.
Steve Augustin’s hometown is Grand Forks, ND
Education: College of Fine Arts University of North Dakota, Grand Forks with a
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
This is the fourth showing of my work at Dakota Harvest Gallery.
The theme for this show was that I just picked out some of my personal favorite photographs.
Some of this work is a repeat from others shows and there is also new works included. The photograph at the end is one of my most recent photographs.
I encourage you to stop in on Saturday June 21st from 1 to 5 PM during the Art & Wine Walk. I would be happy to discuss my work with you.
I believe the secret to my success in being a nature photographer has come from my patience in observation. I spend many hours working in my garden and looking at the placement, lighting and surroundings of the plants. I know that some of my photographs have taken years to be produced. Photographs in a natural setting also have an added challenge because we all know how windy it gets around here so early morning photo shoots are normal. Then again being in the right place at the right time also helps.
